The wooden bridge was deemed unsafe for vehicle traffic on the military training installation. The Army Corps of Engineers submitted drawings for a low water crossing design. BenBeck II, Inc. was awarded the subcontract by Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc.
The scope of work required removal of the bridge, install temporary creek bypass, mass excavation and removal of spoil material. Piping was installed with concrete ballast, rip rap placed, concrete aprons were constructed and final vegetation was established.
Best Management Practices were well established and monitored as this project was performed in a live stream.
